Abstract:

This post is also available in: English Slovenščina (Slovenian)

Assessment of the Fallopian tube patency in a woman is an important part of infertility investigation, its results being essential to planning the program of treatment. X-ray hysterosalpingography and laparoscopy dye intubation are currently the most commonly used investigations for tubal patency. yet the recent development of hysterosalpingo contrast sonography seems to offer some new benefits. The new method can only show tubal patency, which is only one part of the functional assessment of the Fallopian tubes. It is safe and there is no x-ray exposure of the ovaria.
