The procedure induces hypertrophy of the non-diseased portion of liver and thereby reduces the possibility of postoperative liver failure. In this article, we present a case of a 50-year old patient<br \/>\nwith preoperative portal vein embolization before right hepatectomy for metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma.
