New knowledge in the field of tumor biology and about molecular mechanisms related to function of chemotherapeutics, radiation or mechanic tissue destruc\u00adtion allows scientific treatment planning. This approach is illustrated with the case of inoperable squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
