The classic (plain) voltage-clamp method shows \u2028some inherent deficiencies, which in some experimental conditions interfere with, or even \u2028prevent recording of the end-plate current. Therefore, the method was improved by attaching\u2028 a &#8220;current pump&#8221; to the end of the feed-back \u2028loop. The aim of this work was to test the new\u2028 method of the &#8220;current pump assisted&#8221; voltage\u2028 clamp in the curarized sartorius m. of the frog. Qualitatively the results are the same as those\u2028 obtained by the &#8220;plain&#8221; voltage-clamp. However, the &#8220;current pump-assisted\u201d voltage-clamp is\u2028 more stable and allows the use of a low-resistance current microelectrode.
