Standard electromyography revealed no abnormalities, while the assessment of thermal and pain sensation and electrophysiologic evalu\u00adation of autonomic function suggested severe small (autonomic and somatic) nerve fibre neuropathy. The diagnosis was supported by morphologic findings.
