Work is a very important factor in the development of one’s personality. The loss of ability to work is therefore painfully reflected in the disease itself. Gainful employment or some other kind of unvocational work often constitutes – especially in patients with psychoses – the ultimate link between the patient and his\/her social environment. The number of individuals with disabilities due to mental disorders is constantly growing. Vocational assessment in this population is a complex and demanding task, especially in the extant socioeconomic crisis and with restricted resources for one\u2019s vocational rehabilitation. The final estimate of one\u2019s vocational potential, which may have lifelong consequences for the majority of disabled individuals, should be based on an accurate assessment, synthetizing psychiatric, psychological and socio-psychiatric tests, and physical examinations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
