In this region, Tinea profunda capilliti occurs very rarely in infants. The paper presents a 6\u2013week\u2013old childe infected by his father, who had a recent history of tinea barbae and also transmitted the infection to his wife. He was infected by the belt of his helmet worn while at work. From the mother and her child Trichophyton mentagrophytes var. granulosum was isolated. Both were treated with local antifungal agents and the child\u2019s mother was given also a course of oral Ketokonazole. The infection was cured in two months in both of them. At his first visit to his clinic, the child\u2019s father was free of symptoms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
