The first parts of the digestive tube, the oral cavity and the pharynx, are omitted from the discussion because of the numerous peculiarities in their structure. The article describes only the anatomy of the second part of the alimentary canal, from the beginning of the esoph\u00adagus to the end of the large intestine (<em>anus<\/em>). The morphology, topography and peritoneum of the gullet (<em>esophagus<\/em>), stomach (<em>ventriculus, gaster<\/em>), small intestine (<em>duodenum, jejunum<\/em> and <em>ileum<\/em>) and large intestine (<em>cecum, colon<\/em> and <em>rectum<\/em>) are described in detail. Nerves, ves\u00adsels and most important lymph node groups are listed for each organ.
