We have modern treatment\u00a0techniques, but severe liver injuries still represent a high percentage of the overall mortality rates. Blunt trauma in motor vehicle accidents is the most common cause of liver injury.\u00a0Its clinical picture depends on the degree of injury and the number of any other, associated\u00a0injuries. Patients with severe liver injury and bleeding need resuscitation, fast and effective\u00a0diagnosis and a correct decision regarding conservative or surgical treatment.
