Pharmacologically, the most important group of active substances from almost all species of Bacidiomycetes mushrooms are \u03b2-glucan polysaccharides,\u00a0which exhibit immunomodulatory and anticancer activity. Some substances have\u00a0additional antibacterial, antiviral and hepatoprotective action.
