Differential Diagnosis in a Patient with Bilateral Pulmonary Infiltrates, Hypoxemia and Hemoptysis
Eighteen years old male with bilateral pulmonary infiltrates, hypoxia and hemoptysis was diagnosed with Goodpasture syndrome. We present a retrospective analysis of the clinical decision making that lead to the diagnosis and the analysis of the treatment course. Retrospective analysis puts into question the accuracy of the diagnosis and thereby also questions the indication for several months of treatment with methylprednisolone and cyclophosphamide.
