Duties and Functions of a General Practitioner in Forensic Medicine

This article discusses and presents some of the most common duties and functions of a gen­eral practitioner and family medicine doctor in the field of forensic medicine. These include the collection of bodily fluids for alcohol testing, assessment of bodily injuries, local inspec­tion and inspection of a corpse, medical attestation and certificate, recording of medical information and provision of medical information.
