Clinical use of the mathematical model of the hip

The basic features of a simple static three-dimensional mathematical model of an adult hip in a monopodal body position are given. The described model can be used in clinical practice to evaluate mechanical effects of different surgical procedures on the hip. A dew examples of clinical application of the model are presented.
