Abstract:

This post is also available in: English Slovenščina (Slovenian)

Nowadays, carcinoma of the prostate represents one of the most common diseases afflicting older males. Early diagnosis and proper therapy are therefore of primary importance for the patient, but they have also great impact on the society at large. The paper deals with modern approaches to etiology, diagnosis and treatment of prostatic cancer, which in addition to surgery include also hormonal treatment, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
