The hibernating myocardium

Abstract:

This post is also available in: enEnglish slSlovenščina (Slovenian)

The author describes chronic synergy of the left ventricle at rest due to chronic, painless, persistent severe myocardial ischemia. The reason why this phenomenon is so attractive include a high incidence of hibernating myocardium in clinical practice, especially in syndrome of (un)stable angina pectoris and after myocardial infarction, as well as potential reversibility of the myocardium, if appropriate measures are undertaken. In the second part, the methods of detection and assessment of the hibernating left ventricular region are described.
