The paper presents the most common congenital and acquired diseases of the male external genitalia. As the diagnosis is usually established by clinical examination, it is important to know the correct techniques and the order of their use. The treatment of these diseases is most commonly surgical and is less frequently performed on an out-patient basis. Emergency cases are very rare.
